A fabulous place to taste whisky!

If you live in Ottawa and you haven't popped in to Divino Wine Studio on Preston Street, you're missing a rare treat - gorgeous restaurant, intimate private room, outstanding, food, excellent Italian wines and  friendly, knowledgeable staff under the guidance of owner and Italian wine expert Antonio Mauriello.

As if that wasn't enough, Divino's is also a go to venue for a wide array of classes from Italian language classes to olive oil tastings to everything connected with Italian wine and food. Check out the website.

This is one of my favourite places in the city for whisky tastings and presentations. And judging by the fact that the tastings are sold out really quickly, it's a favourite venue with many whisky lovers in the area.

We have a lot of fun concocting tasting plates to serve with the whiskies and, last week, Chef Cristian Lepore created a first class menu, which delighted the capacity crowd.

Keep your eyes peeled for the next tasting towards the end of the summer. It will sell out fast! The next one will feature five premium  Single Malt Scotches, another creative menu, and a little education.

Meanwhile, be sure to pop into Divino's over the summer. You'll love it!
